BM left a message for DSS on my phone on Thanksgiving.

We called her back the next day but no one answered. We didn't leave a message because i thought we'd just call her back later. Which we did. Last night we called her again but no one answered. This time we left a message.
She might not call back. she is notorious for randomly and suddenly disappearing from DSS's life and returning only when it is convenient for her. But we need to get a hold of her to get her new address so that she can be served. We are making some changes and she needs to be served. Not to mention that she needs an updated copy of the child support bill that she never pays. '

So, how long do i wait now before i call her back? a few days? a week? It is an important matter but i also don't want to seem as if we are bugging her. After all, it's not supposed to be our responsibility to get an updated address or to make sure she stays in regular contact with her son. It's hers.

  • dont know the whole story but from what your telling me is that she left a messege on your phone but now she's not answering when your calling her back, does she know your calling with a caller ID? if so, she may be doing it on purpose. sounds like if she's known for coming in and out of your life whenever she feels...she just dont want to deal with it right now.
sounds like she's got tons of responsibilies but cant live up to the responsibilities.

with that being stated...i guess i would call once a day, but thats just me, when things matter the most, and im desperate, ill do anything to get someone's attention.i dont really care if i seem to come off that rude lol.

  • yes it's coming up on her caller id. i'm calling her cell and she knows our number. I thought she might be avoiding us ...but she's (as far as i can tell) never seemed to purposefully avoid us before. then again, she's never had to face what she's facing right now, before.

  • You could have the local police do a wellness check...
