When you have a paypal buy now button on your website...

How do you set it to direct that person to a website once they have paid?

  • It's one of the options available when you are setting up your Buy It Now button on Paypal. If I remember correctly, it's a drop down menu on there.

  • First, if you go back to that saved button (NOTE: the only way to GET to the SAVED button is to start a new buy now button and in the " Step 1: Choose button type and enter payment details" section there is this TINY little link under the pull down defaulted to PRODUCTS...that says GO TO MY SAVED BUTTONS) can then select the saved button and click edit.

    On the edit page (which is the same as setting up the button in the first place), you will want to click STEP 3.

    Then you can enter the landing page URL for the return where it asks: Take customer to a specific page (URL) after successful checkout:


    That is the trick. BUT...please be aware that for some accounts paypal doesn't automatically take the customer to that page, some customers have to clic
