  • to tell the truth i wouldn't give her soy it not good to give kids lots of soy There is a lot of research on how too much soy milk can lead to a lower absorption of essential vitamins and minerals as well as causing a child to be hyper. Soy milk also has estrogen in them and estrogen has been linked to health risks. Here are just a few links on soy.

  • My younger son is very lactose intolerant. He is only 4 months but even I can't eat dairy or he gets very sick. I eat meat and nut butters for protien, eggs. When my older son was younger he was lactose intolerant and he eats a lot of beans. We have become use to not having dairy as DH is also lactose intolerant. I just now have to be more careful of what I eat since my LO is ebf and any dairy I have makes him very sick. Instead of ice cream we do sherbert. Things like that.

  • I understand how hard this is. My daughter is allergic to the protein in cow's milk so I have no idea where we'll go when she is off Alimentum. Right now she is only 6 months but I know the time is coming when the problem will have to be addressed.
