  • I got my period while breastfeeding with all my kids.... I also go pregnant while breastfeeding w/o ever getting my period back between pregnancies.

    It's really just a gamble.

  • I breastfed and my period returned when my daughter was about 2 months old.

Have you considered a diaphragm? They work without hormones and have no side effects. They never caused a stroke, infertility or PID; you won't gain weight, get depressed, or lose your libido; your periods won't be affected. They have never been the subject of class action lawsuits and are instantly reversible.

  • NFP. Buy Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It will require discipline on your part, but you can track ovulation signs based on what your body is doing.

  • How about condoms? It seems many people forget about them.

  • I agree with Krysta of course some people (i'm not saying ALL but some use the excuse) that they are allergic (hello they make non-latex condoms) or "it doesn't feel good" (wah, buy some with lube). What about VCF's? they are like condoms but not latex and have no hormones in them. I think it's laziness a lot of the time. (heat of the moment type junk)

  • BTW you can still ovulate and not get your period and vice verse.
