Appetizer Wedding Reception (Re-post)

Sorry, this is a re-post, I only got a few helpful answers last time. :) We are having an appetizer/cake/punch wedding reception. We will have about 70 people, and I need ideas for finger food type things we can serve.

So far we have:
Veggie Trays
Taco Cups
Mini Sandwiches
Cheese Balls with crackers
BBQ meatballs
and Chips and cheese dip

is there anything else that you would serve?

(by the way, the wedding is at 7, with the reception immediatly following, so probably about 7:30)

  • fresh fruit tray, chicken skewers , pizza rolls, spinach pie. I have found that most people prefer things that they are familiar with .

I would probably also add summer sausage and ritz crackers oh and colby jack cheese. MMM LOL

  • I think it sounds great. Everyone should have eaten dinner already so it is fine.

  • You could always do the fruit and cheese platter with the cheese cut in little cubes with toothpicks. I have seen this at many weddings. Best wishes on your wedding!

  • Definitely some sort of fresh fruit something or other - fruit kabobs, fresh fruit salad, fruit trays with dips.

  • My mom and sister made tortilla roll ups for ours. They got Really big yummy flavored and covered tortillas. ( from Winco I believe...not sure if you have those where you live). You can use just plain ones though. I think they just spread cream cheese on them, added meat, chilies, and olives and rolled them up. There are lots of different ways to make them, check online for more filling ideas. They're really good.

Also, what about mini- quiches? You can buy them or make them. I have a great florentine quiche recipe if you're interested. I make mini ones all the time using cupcake tins.

    Good luck!
