  • "He hasn't robbed any banks, crashed any cars or violated the Ten Commandments. That's good enough for me."

  • I tell them yes. He was sleeping through the night before he turned one month and he didn't cry for no reason.....It doesn't last forever though

  • If you were to ask my mother in law if my son is a good baby, she would laugh and say no... But if you ask me... YES he is/was. He is 10 months old... He just started to sleep through the night, but never wanted to get up and play. He only cried when he was dirty or hungry... But most of all he is my baby and how could he not be good?? lol.......... Babys cry, fuss and puke... its normal! He wasnt colicy, so to me he was perfect (even if he was a colic baby, he would be perfect!)

  • I look them straight in the eye and say yeah she is a desirable baby.Very happy, sleeps well. They usually look embarrassed or try saying that is not what they meant. Really so what is a good baby? Then they walk away.

  • I say she's an easy baby: Nurses well, sleeps well (most of the time . . . we're dealing with a midnight cranky patch right now), is alert and active at predictable times. Both my kids are "good" kids but my son was a difficult baby. Required much more holding, cuddling, rocking, and letting him sleep on me. Good, just more difficult.

  • I tell them the truth, i say "yeah, but we have those moments" lol. then i would turn and point to my 2 yr old and say " at least she's better than him, he used to be a good baby, then he turned 2" lol. i normally get a good laugh. obviously i'm joking when i say it, my 2yr old is a great kid, even though we DO have those moments.

How hurtful to your older child. He knows you are insulting him, even if you don't think he does. Please stop talking about your children this way. Your baby does not know you are joking.

  • All babies are good babies. I am sure they are not meaning to be rude. People are thoughtless. I would just say "of course he is".

  • All are "good". Even older kids are all "good". They might do "bad" things or make poor choices, but they're all good.
