  • I make photo calendars as gifts. Everyone needs a calendar and I personalize them w/pics of THEM w/my kids, or month appropriate pics (like Halloween costume pics for Oct etc). If it's someone close to your kids this might work or you could customize it to suit them if you have any pics they would like. Just my idea!

  • Depends on what you want to spend. My BFF has everything and way more money than she knows what to do with. I however have very little. For her birthday or christmas I usually take her to lunch and we have a girl's day with no kids and window shop or maybe get our hair done-just styled-does not cost much. The gift is really time together-not anything material.

  • A book is a good idea, or a bottle of wine or liquor, gift certificates to Spa Finder are great, they have a huge list of participating spas to use them at. Picture frames, gourmet gift basket, chocolates, Christmas ornaments or decoration....

  • My dad is this person. I usually get him something related to what he liked to do. He loved to wash his jeep. So in the winter months when he could not, I got him gift cards for a very nice drive through personal car wash. He loved them. I have also gotten him some things from L.L. Bean. Personalized thigs are nice, like a door mat with their last name etc. Be creative! Make home made gifts.

  • i usually think it should be personal..like one year i did pics on my phone, printed them off on photo paper and hubby made a frame and cut glass for it for my FIL and MIL.

if its not a homemade thing then it can be gift cards...hubby likes getting his from a tattoo shop, or eating out or if he's a handy man...a hardware store.

those popcorn tins are great too

  • My grandmother has everything and then some. I usually get her the pop corn tins (she collects tins so it works) and every year it has a different design. I also get her crossword, fill ins, and word search books, decks of playing cards etc. But that's just what she likes (and its not too costly)

  • A gift card, or I'd try to think of something to add to a collection or interest I know they have. Such as my mother in-law can always use a red-white-blue item for her patriotic guest bedroom she's decked out, my father in-law is really into collecting movie action figures of sci-fi movies he loves. I have a couple of friends that have nearly every thing but have green fingers so I give them something for their garden, and when my best friend married they had nearly everything but were wanting to add to their property some fruit tree's so I gave them a pear tree (their favorite fruit). You can make a calender of pictures of them and you guys together :)
