Any body else doing the Salvation Army's angel tree this year?

I got a 9 year old girl who wants a dolly and an easy bake oven. Does it get any sweeter?

  • We got a 9 year old who wants a baseball glove. We plan on doing atleast 2 or 3 more. They ask for such simple little gifts so we want to help as much as we can.

  • We are not this yr, our local fire dept is doing their own toy 4 tots so that our local children will be assured something under the tree... so we are (since dh is a Lt on the dept) working with this program this yr.

  • We dont do Angel tree. I personally know of 4 scammers last year and there are untold many more. I know that's sad but I don't want to help them! Where I work sponsors a family we know and so does a group of us. We help people who don't qualify for Angel tree for some reason or miss the deadline, or just dont think they are that hard up and dont want to take from someone else who may really need it. That is really sweet tho OP. I hope the childs Christmas is everything she hopes for!

  • Our church does an angel tree (usually the gift consists of clothing and a toy), and we picked out two names this year...a 15 year old boy who wanted only clothing and a 8 year old girl who wanted clothes, a backpack with school supplies, and a Barbie.
