  • When they are trying to climb in or out of the bed, when potty training, or when you feel that they are ready.

  • Both our children went from the playpen to a twin set of mattresses on the floor (no bed frame) at 18 months. My son was climbing out of his playpen by that time...

  • My son is 27 months and still sleeping in his crib. He's never tried to climb or jump out. I like that he can't get loose and roam the house.

  • We put them in a regular bed at 15 months. We didn't want the added expense of a toddler bed (can't be in it for long) and we didn't want to wait for them to try to climb out and probably get hurt.

  • my son is 24 months and still in his crib, and has never tried climbing out. We have no intention of movin ghim unless, he no longer wets his diaper at night (he's daytime pottytrained) or he climbs out, or he's old enough ot realize he needs to stay in his bed (who knows if that will ever happen lol)
