  • I was able to get a cat when I was a teenager. I always had cats at my grandmothers and I spent a lot of time there.

We now have a dog, 3 cats, and 2 foster kittens. We have had as many as 3 dogs.

  • We had a golden retriever. We got him when I was 2 and he died when I was 16. I practically grew up with that dog. We had many small pets in the meantime; turtles, hamsters, fish... But my dog, Birt, is almost in all our family photos! Now we have a Chow-Chow that my daughter loves, but I miss my doggy so much!!!

  • I was born into a house with 2 dogs, a red tailed boa and many pet rats. My mother was a zoo keeper so on nights and weekends we would have nursery animals stay with us-such as baby monkeys and once two lion cubs (talk about fun) Then growing up we also had birds, horses, chickens, cats, guinea pigs, snakes, lizards, mice, and pretty much anything else we could catch. I now have a housefull (3 dogs, 2 cats, 5 parrots, 1 rabbit, 1 hermit crab, and fish) and would not want to live any other way.

  • My dad was not allowed to have pets growing up so he hated them and did not want them around. My mom however grew up with all sorts of pets and saw that we had them too. We had 3 dogs,8 cats, several different lizards, a snake, hamsters, a mouse, 2 different birds, a few rabbits at one point. My dad was not a happy camper although he did like the cockatiel " pretty bird".   At present we have 6 cats, 2 dogs 2 hamsters and some fish.  I would love to get another bird down the road but that will have to wait until we have more space.

  • We had a dog and cat. We had fish off and on,a hermitt crab or two. I loved critters and always had a way of dragging something wild home, bugs, snakes, toads, frogs and once in a while something from the creek. I never kept anything as a pet though.

  • I always had pets, at least a cat. Noticed I've done the same with my kids, always at least one cat, usually two cats and a dog. Sometimes plus other things like hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, birds. etc. in addition.
My parents wouldnt let the pets inside, I always have.

  • Yuppers. In Okinawa, we had an Akita Inu and a mutt
Moved to Utah, got a beagle
Florida (beagle got put down) Got a poodle, two chow chows, three horses, a bird, wolf hybrid and a donkey * (I think it was a donkey)
So now, mom has two dogs
Dad has five horses, cats, dogs, chickens, a squirrel and a donkey (same one as above)\
