  • i hate veggies :-( my daughtere used to love salads.....but when we moved we stopped eating out so she stopped eating salad :-( and now shes almost 4 and she hates anything green/black so she gets that from me :-/

my son loves broccoli :-) he will try most anything out and if he doesnt like it he spits it out so i can at least get him to try to eat stuff ^_^ he's like his father on that score doesnt really care what it is and he puts it in his mouth :-)

  • Hot dogs! I would never give a child hot dogs. I bet it's white bread.

My toddler grandson loves sweet potatos and squash. He eats and likes lots of veggies. He never got jar food, just homemade.

  • My son is not really into veggies, but I try to get him to eat at least one serving at lunch and one serving at supper. However he LOVES any kind of fruit, so I try to give him what I've heard are the "healthier" fruits (blueberries, cantaloupe, kiwi, etc) rather than a banana or apple (although he does love bananas too). He's not into breads, but when he eats them they are whole wheat. And I try to keep most if not all refined sugars out of his diet. I think he has a fairly good diet.

  • My two year old loves hot dogs too. I just don't serve them.

My kids love carrots, corn broccoli, green beans, black olives, and fresh spinach.
My older kids (7 & 8) eat raw carrot sticks. The two year old likes his lightly steamed.

  • My 3 yo gs eats veggies, so did his mom. But he LOVES his hot dogs, too! lol. I'm just lucky, I guess, because I'm NOT a veggie lover.

  • During the day they are at my MIL's and she is a little fanatical when it comes to healthy food. She buys only organic, if she can't grow it in her own garden. And as far as meat, she has cows and chickens and all that on a ranch that they are only grass fed, free range and all that jazz, so they are A-OK during the day. At my house? Different story. We are struggling financially so we can't always buy organic but at dinner or meals on the weekends, mine will have 1/4 cup or so of at least one veggie. But mine really love veggies and fruits. They actually will ask to eat carrots over candy. Which works for me!

  • I hate healthy food snobs. Hate them. Yes, we all try and get healthy things into our kids, but please. Ugh.

Anyway, my 4YO loves fruit, I give a her good amount each day, my son (2), not so much...I try, but he won't do it. Sometimes I can sneak broccoli in here and there. I was surprised he loved the green bean casserole on Thanksgiving...but wonder if that is even healthy with all the crap mixed in, lol. He will eat some fruit, but not like his sister. After anguishing about my kid's diets I did enough research to find that I need to relax. They get their vitamins, they eat healthy, meaning, minimal processed foods, whole grains, dairy, and yes, we can work on the fruits and veggies a bit, but my kids are at a healthy weight and they are healthy, everything in moderation.
