ok so this is a real stupid question?my dh and i were discussing this.we heard that before a soldier gets deployed they get to go home or leave for 2 weeks.hmm if they are shipping out all those troops at once are they still going to do this?also stupider question,do the soldiers already know who is getting deployed?sence it is 30 thousand troops its a lot of people they must have an idea???

  • Yes you are supposed to get 2 weeks off. Most of the time that happens. I do know a couple of people that got fucked over on that part when they deployed to Iraq. My husband is apart of the most frequently deployed brigade and they have not told him anything. They give them estimation but no exact dates and nothing has been said officially. You would be surprised how much the soldiers dont get told.
