Can breastmilk in the fridge be re-heated more than once?

I warmed a bottle for her last night and she took half an ounce and went to sleep. Can the cooled milk be reheated one more time today?

If it helps, I didn't get it very warm at all.

  • Sorry - it's not good. I know it seems horrible to waste the liquid gold that is breastmilk, but so it goes. . . . Next time try only heating up an ounce or 2 at a time. It's not as convenient to have to heat up more if she drinks it all, but it is less wasteful

  • No, you can't, it breeds bacteria.

  • Just like any other heating . Then you must use in the hour or toss.

  • It sucks but they don't recommend it... if you give it to your baby cold then put it back in the fridge it should be okay though
