Strep Thoart

I accidentally closed th question before.... My younger sister went to thedoctor and found out she had strep and my throat has been hurting since last friday, i thought it was just sinus stuff. But can my two month old get it shes not eating real well today and is very crabby and is crying fir no reason..

  • It is quite rare that babies younger than 18-24 months get strep, they still have antibodies from mommy that protect them.

    You should definitely get cultured though, if your throat is still hurting. Untreated strep can have dangerous complications for mom!

  • Technically, babies/kids under 2 years cannot get strep. It's possible, but highly unlikely.
