My son put in a disk with games on it into the computer.

But he did it when the computer was locked up. And now I can't get the disk out. The power went out, and I have to reboot the computer, but can't because this other disk is in there. Is there any way I can get it out?
(not sure what the operating system is, it's not windows)

  • maybe call a local computer repair shop, or maybe just any computer repair shop if you don't have a local one and ask them. explain what happened. maybe they have a suggestion. or/also ask how much it would cost for them to get it out for you.
good luck i hope you get it out.

  • If it's a CD, most CD drives have a small "emergency access port".

Look on the front of the drive for a small hole about the size of a toothpick. When you start the computer, take the eye end of a long needle and insert it through this hole. There's a small latch inside that will pop the CD drive open. The computer should then continue booting, but if not, remove the disc, shut the drive, shut down the computer and reboot again.
