What kind of party sounds better for a preschooler?

My sister says a zoo party would be cute. Not in the zoo, just many stuffed animals at home and maybe a clown. My mother-in-law thinks a Barbie party would be better and I would love to have a Sesame Street party! My daughter is 5... What do you think?

  • any of those would work. there's also, dora, princess, fairy garden, tea party, or anything else that's fun that can run some energy out of the kiddos! :)

  • what kind of party does SHE want? I mean it's her party! I would give her 2 or 3 ideas and let her pick one

  • All girls? Do the Barbie party.
All ages and boys and girls? Zoo party.
    Budget friendly? Sesame Street party.

I think you should ask your daughter. Not like "Hey what do you think about your birthday....." But ask her in a smeaky way (lol) questions about the all the themes and see which she is most excited talking about.

  • i think you should present your dd with a couple of reasonable ideas (so that you can manage to accommodate- if you ask her whats SHE wants, it may not be possible), and let HER choose, its her day after all!

btw- clowns in general, not a good idea. you would be surprised how many children are afraid of them. i was, and am still creeped out by freaks in a clown suit. nothing cute or funny about it.

  • Ask her. What does she have an interest in. My 4 year old currently loves My little pony and my 2 year old loves Sesame street. So that is what I do for there b-days.
