  • It is fun to make trail mix. You can premake it or put out different things with spoons and let the kids fill their baggies with all kinds of wierd combos.
    Some options:
    fruit loops
    chocolate chips
    mini marshmallows
    dried fruit

  • Anonymous :37, don't be a bitch. Some of these allergies are LETHAL. That means they can/will KILL a child. If it was your child, would you rather other moms were considerate enough to try to include your child's needs in their contributions or would you rather your child was constantly left out and ignored because of something that's out of their control?

As for the OP, I usually take a fruit and veggie tray to things like that with carrots, grapes, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, apple slices, orange wedges, and snow peas.

You can probably find nut free recipes for granola, and if you add chocolate chips or dried fruit chips, they're really good! (My son's Kindergarten class loved it when I made the granola for them. I still get asked for it, and he's in 2nd now!)

    Good luck!
