Can you smell yourself?

Of course we can smell other people. I have an ultra sensitive nose. I often hold my breath when someone comes within a few feet of me because my nose detects everything. I don't want to smell another woman's vagina clean or rancid. I can even smell a man's semen even after he has thoroughly showered. And yes I can smell myself as well.

So can you smell your own body odor whether it smells clean, neutral or rank?

If you're wondering I just smelled something that made me think to ask this

  • I can smell my vagina. I'm not sure what it is, but esp certain types of panties make it smell worse. Sometimes it even kinda smells like bleach. Not sure why. I do know i have a stinky vag though. I got a doc appt in a week to hopefully find out why...

I kept putting if off though thinking it was just hormonal discharge or maybe something off balance. Didn't wanna douche cause they say its bad for you.

  • Yes, I smell myself often. As a small child, my Mother tells me that I told her of a woman on the elevator. I told my Mother that her Sista Meow stanks! As an adult, I've washed myself so much that I washed my pubic hairs off and the Doctor told me that there was nothing wrong with my Sista Meow, there was something wrong with my mind! I now know that I suffer with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Hygiene is one of my pet peeves. I've yet to accept a normal womanly order as my own. Perhaps you too share my Disorder. LOL

  • When I was young and smoked no smells ever bothered me. Then when I quit and got really healthy I could smell everything: myself, other people, offices were a nightmare. Then when I got pregnant I was teaching college. My students, my even more sensitive smell, and my morning sickness... not a good combo. Barfy gross young people.

My SO smells great. Even when he misses a shower. He has a really keen sense of smell for women. He'll comment on how unhealthy someone is when we are out in public and he can smell them.

  • I can smell myself even when my husband says he can't smell anything. I developed an overly sensitive sense of smell during my first pregnancy and it's stuck with me to some degree.
