Tonight my son had cheesy rice with brocolli. He has always done good with cheese and rice before. He woke up after an hour of being asleep for his bedtime crying hard and then spit up a bit. Can the rice be giving him a belly ache?

  • It would be more likely to be the broccoli than the rice if it is a gas issue or something similar. Sometimes a kid can be fine with a food then turn around and react badly to it the next time he eats it. Or it could be something else entirely.....Maybe the combination didn't agree with him? Maybe he swallowed a bit of air while eating and that was causing him some tummy trouble. Then there is always the possibility that he caught a little bug or something. Never can tell. I hope he feels back to normal in a flash. (=

  • It may be the dairy. You should only introduce one new food every three days; this makes it easier to pinpoint allergies and food sensitivities
