how long after a circumsion can baby have a tub bath?

my son was circed on nov 30th(the regular ol cut not the plasti bell) it looks fully healed and normal but when do you know they can have a tub bath?

  • I want to say 7-10 days, or once it's healed. Call your Pedi's office for sure. You can sponge bathe him in a baby tub, just don't get "it" wet! My son is 3.5 and I rally can't remember for sure - the first month is such a blur! LOL

  • With mine, the circumcision was healed before the cord stump fell off....so as soon as the stump was off, they had a bath.

  • My son's was healed by the time his cord fell off, so I was waiting for the cord to fall off for a bath, not the circ.
