  • Its normal for a breastfed baby! As long as the baby is not uncomfortable there is nothing to worry about.

  • He's pretty little. You can ask the nurse about dark Karo syrup.

  • If hes having or about to have a growth spurt this is totally normal. If he seems to be in pain, check with your nurse/midwife/pedi.

  • My little girl did the same thing... during the first few weeks she went a few times a day, but after the first month she started to go less frequently. I thought something was wrong too and I asked her doctor and she said that just like adults, babies vary too. My little girl is 6 months old now and some weeks she goes everyday (sometimes twice a day) and some weeks she doesn't go for 3 or 4 days... and shes perfectly fine

ps -she still exculsively breastfeeds and never has hard stool ... my doctor told me not to be alarmed unless she seemed in pain or her stools became harder ...

  • count your blessing breastfed babies barely poop until they start eating food. Breatmilk has everything they need so there's no need too poop that much

  • A breastfed baby can and will go a week or more without a bowel movement. This is normal...

  • It is normal, particularly for breastfed babies. However, if he's experiencing discomfort, the pediatrician will usually make a recommendation to help him go.
