Why does my luteal phase seem to change sometimes.

I read that it stays the same but I have noticed it varies. Any thoughts?

  • it's the dpo until your next cycle starts. it's very important in TTC.

  • my GYN said it is normal for it to fluctuate a day or two. Like mine is 11 days some months and some its 13. You should only worry if it drops lower than 10 days.

  • Because your body and its rhythms aren't set in stone. My luteal phase varies from 10-14 days, averaging about 12. That's normal for me. Some women have a 13-day luteal phase every cycle; that's normal for them. If yours changes, that's normal for you, and as long as it's not by more than a few days (and doesn't stay below 10, like a PP said), it's fine.
