Any medically certified people on here that I can talk to about pre-term labor?

  • Preterm labor is when you start to have regular contractions that cause your cervix to dilate or to thin out prior to 37 weeks. Preterm birth is when you actually deliver your baby

  • am not a doc, but you mean preterm contractions, cuz pre-term labor is when you end up having the baby and preterm contactions is when you have contractions preterm but dont go ito labor. i had preterm contractions with ds, i was on bed rest for a month, he was born at 37 wks

  • piwife... that info is incorrect! Labor CAN be stopped to a certain extent and it is possible to be in pre-term labor and have your labor stopped with meds

  • my doc calles is preterm contactions not labor even if it was stopped. i dilated to 3 cm beofrer it was stopped.
