  • I didn't have one until I was 39 weeks and at the doctor- they told me I would be induced due to high blood pressure and to go to the hospital that day, my doctor checked to see if I was at all dilated at that point before sending me on my way. If the induction hadn't come up I'm not sure that they ever would have checked me until I went into labor.

  • Mine checked me at 37 weeks only because I was having contractions every 12 minutes, and had been for a week and a half. Stupid things were just painful enough I couldn't sleep through them and I was exhausted. She hooked me to a monitor, and the contractions were registering on the machine, so she checked me. I was at a 3, so she stripped my membranes then and I went into labor 2 days later.
