  • love it. many of the founding fathers were Deist (a very popular belief at the time) and you can see the Deist beliefs written into the Constitution. while many of young America's principles were also Christian principles, the Christian RELIGION was not involved. if the founding fathers had been such die-hard Christians i would think they would have picked it as the countries religion.

  • At the same time, it wasn't founded on Atheistic principles either - the founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence often refers to a "creator."

  • This country was founded on the bible. The history channel even states that. History does not lie. Someone can make theirselves believe whatever they want, but the only thing that matters is what the truth is and the truth is it WAS founded on christian principles. Thats what people forget...!!!

  • Smart man. An egotistical rather shallow man, but a smart man nonetheless.

"The history channel even states that."

You do know The History Channel wants tons and tons of ratings and will say whatever the hell they want in order to get them, right?
