Ok, all you college-smarty smarts...

I'm typing up a resume for DH, and he told me he has an associate of science in business...

Is that even the name of a degree? how do i abbreviate?

Thanks in advance!

  • Legalmommy, an A.A.S. in an Associate of Applied Science, that is not the same thing as an A.S.

  • Business school does not pass out AAS...

It IS an associate's degree... I'm just going to put Associate of Business Science...

  • Yes, I realize. Most business majors get the A.A.S. degree not A.S. degree. Might vary from university to university.

  • Associate of Business Science

I would not word it like this. It is acceptable to abbreviate it in the form of A.S. in Business, but if you want to spell it out, then it needs to be Associate of Science in Business. I use to work at a college where I helped with resumes, mock interviews, etc.

  • Don't put abreviations in a resume. Use a "human voice" and avoid meaningless "corporate speak" like "results oriented"
