  • throw it in the washer on "HOT" w/ cold rinse, and detergent (bleach if applicable)... put it through at least two extra spin cycles, and dry on medium heat. it is easier to dry if you throw a towel in with it. a dry one.

  • I don't. I have tempurpedic pillows ($600 for 4 with 10 year warranties!) that come with thick, zippered hypoallergenic covers that i just have to take off and wash. I love not having lumpy pillows anymore, but with regular pillows i used to wash in super hot water with vinegar to disinfect, then dry through 2 cycleswith 2 clean tennis balls to fluff them.

  • The only bad thing about washing it in the washer is sometimes it loses it's shape (depends how much u paid for the pillow) but yes throwing it in the washer is the best way to get it clean or just buy her a new one. When throwing it in the dryer dry it for about 30 to 40 mins. hopefully with that it will fluff up the pillow back to the shape it was.

For the next... incase accident try wrapping it in one of those waterproof pads that you put on a child's mattress so incase they have an accident it does not damage the mattress just buy two this time. then slip over a pillowcase. GL

  • Oh also forgot to mention, if you do put in the wash, add in one cup of vinegar to a full washer load because vinegar neutralizes the ammonia smell in urine.
