how can i protect my 23 month old from a wall heater?

the house we are about to move into has a wall heater not central and im very concerned with him burning himself on it...i also have a baby on the way so. is there anything i can do other then constant supervision to protect him from this?

  • what about one of those area gates? you could make it so its like a wall surrounding the heater. or like at our old apt we had one but it was towards the end of the hallway that led to the kitchen so we just put a gate up right before the heater. so we knew for sure our dd wouldnt be able to get to it. and make sure to express the importance of not touching it the best you can that it will hurt bcuz its so hot

  • they have those fences you can use to make a barrier..i think you bolt them to the wall.

    we have a gas furnace thats sorta like a wood stove looking thing. my son has learned that its hot and not to touch it...but it still make me a little nervous so i share your concern .
