When you make pineapple upside down cake, do you always use pineapple supreme cake mix?

Or is there something else?

  • Yellow cake mix and add pineapple juice to it in place of water.

  • I layer the pan like this, butter, brown sugar, cherries, pineapple pieces/rings, yellow or white cake mix.

  • I always use a yellow cake mix but use the drained pineapple juice for most of the water the cake mix calls for.

  • I would always eat the bottom part and leave the top , but yeah I think my mom used to use that so it would have a distincitve taste to it.

  • I use the cottage cake (I know its got cottage in the name) from the Fannie Farmer cookbook.

    its the true way to make it.

  • i use a 1 2 3 4 classic cake recipe then add pineapple juice and yogurt instead of milk.
