did your child/ren crawl backwards before they crawled forward as babie?

If so how long after did they start going forward? And how old were they?

  • yes. My doctor said it's because their arm muscles are stronger than their legs at first, so they end up pushing themselves backward. My daughter did it for like a week, and now she's crawling normal :-)

  • Mine just started crawling backwards yesterday. She's about 5.5 months old. If I remember right, my first two started crawling right around 6 months

  • I think it's also a coordination thing. It's very normal.
