I was wondering....

At what age does a child become a toddler? We all know what toddlers look and act like, but is there an exact age?

  • Toddler usually means from about 1 to about 3 years old. There's really no specific age though.

  • They are infants until they can walk unassisted for long periods. Toddler means to "toddle" which means walking. Then it goes to Preschooler, Grade schooler, Middle schooler, High schooler, adult. (At least in our house it does.)

  • Ive seen many who start calling them toddlers after they hit 1 cuz they are usually walking around(even if just a little and still wobbly).
