how possible?

i have a 31 day cycle usually but the last few have been 40 and 34. my period was nov 28th. i had sex on the 9th and 10th of this month. how likely is it that i would concieve from one of those encounters?

  • It seems early in your cycle, but possible. I'd keep at it as often as possible through the 20th to be certain.

  • Assuming a normal 31-day cycle, you would ovulate sometime from day 13-18, being most fertile in the 2-3 days before that. If you have a longer cycle, that range would be even later. So IF you do indeed ovulate today or tomorrow, you've got a decent shot; but if you've got a long cycle this month, it's not likely.


    Try charting. Read Taking Charge of Your Fertlity by Toni Weschler and check out www.fertilityfriend.com for some good tips. By doing that, you'll be able to tell for sure when you ovulate during each cycle and when is the best time for you to get pregnant.
