  • my cholesterol was 312 and with Quaker Oatmeal in the morning and 1,000 mg Cinnamon capsules 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening it went down to 176 within 4 months which was much better than taking any prescriptions that will hurt your liver worse than even having high cholesterol.

  • Exercise and eating more healthy foods like salmon and egg whites. My mom's dr had her drink a glass of red wine before bed and it lowered her's. Have him take Omega 3 fish oil pills if he won't eat the salmon (or sardines).

  • Yup. Fish oil, cinnamon, niacin (non flushing!) and oatmeal. :) Garlic helps too.

  • Fill his diet with whole grains, fruits, vegetables (especially raw) and legumes. Read labels!!

  • farm fresh eggs, from chickens that are free range. they have high levels of omega 3's. we only eat these kind of eggs and used to have our own chickens. my level was last tested a 169 and hubby's a 189.
    if you can find someone close by that sells their own eggs, i would go that route. when you buy cage free organic eggs in the store they run almost five bucks a dozen, but if you can find someone in the country you might pay a dollar a dozen.
