Is a 500 peice puzzle too much for a 7 year old to do?

  • Depends on the kid. I wasn't much older then that doing big puzzles. I loved them. I have some 1000 piece puzzles that have easy pictures on them that my kids could do if they wanted. But since they lose interest after awhile I don't let them get them out (pieces always end up missing). My 3yo likes to do 80+ piece puzzles (they say 5+ on them). She's been doing them since she turned 3 in April. She even attempts the 100 piece puzzles that belong to her older sisters (they say 7+ on them).

  • It depends on the child. I know a 5 year old that has no problems doing 100 piece puzzles and is getting bored with those.

  • 500 would be too much for me. Depends on whether they like them or not really.

  • I think it might be a bit much to do alone for a child that age.
