5 months old with cradle cap

How do I get rid of it? She only has it on the top and the front of her head, where her scalp doesn't get rubbed as much by the sheets.

  • put baby oil on it for about 30 min before bath and then with a baby brush gently scrub. then bathe baby and lotion it for a few days.

  • you can do a few things. try applying baby oil letting soak in about 2 hours then comb out the hard stuff then wash her hair and add more baby oil. or you could make a paste of baking soad and water and apply to her hair and let sit till hard and then was her hair (this works but takes a lot longer then baby oil), or you could have your dr prescrib something

  • baby oil in bath and rubbing it off with a soft toothbrush worked for us... but you have to keep up with it, because it comes back.

What happens if i only try the first part of this? it's really cold right now and she might get sick from the wetness on her head.

  • I used regular dandruff shampoo, but was extremely careful of any getting in their eyes and it worked.

  • Baby oil works, but we put it on his head when we put him in the bath, then wash him, and then at the end of the bath use a comb to go through his hair lightly to get it out. Then we use clean warm water to rinse his hair and then shampoo it. Also we only do it every other bath because I'm afraid it might irritate his scalp.
