How often should I bathe my baby?

  • As a newborn I bathed every 3 days. She never smelled bad and I certainly didn't want to dry out her skin. As she got older that increased as I saw fit. Some moms who feel the need to bathe everyday may think this is nasty but they don't odor like the rest of us do. In her 13 months she's only had 1 diaper rash so I must have done something right. :)

  • every 2 -3 days. use warm cloth to wipe under neck in between baths.

  • Every day or every other day. Their bottoms alone need to be washed with something other than a wipe to keep them clean. They sweat like we do. Their little creases start to smell sour. I think of it this way, if I need a shower to feel clean and relax and rest well, so do they.

  • When she was first born, every 3 days. When the acid reflux went into full force around 3.5 went to everyday and is still that way (and still has the reflux at almost 10 months old). If she does not get a bath, she smells rotten by the next day (even if I wipe her down with a wet wash cloth). It really is up to you, babies could go every few days but if you have one like mine...everyday may be best.

  • Every other day, you dont want to give them a bath too much or you will dry up their skin :)

  • With my first 2 I bathed them almost every day, or at least a few times a week. With my third she only gets a bath once a week. She has never had any kind of diaper rash or any other skin problems. She is almost 6 months old.

  • My baby is almost 3 months old. I haven't "bathed" her yet. All i've done is give her a rub down with a damp cloth and not always with soap -- and if I do use some it is unscented and very little. I don't use lotions or powders.

She's clean but still smells like baby.

  • My daughter is almost 4 months old and I bathe her twice a week. I'll wash her face and hands more often, though.

  • I bathed my three everyday. Afterall, they have skin just like we do, so what's the difference? Baby wipes alone just don't cut the mustard. And, I don't believe in all that "baby" this or "baby" that stuff. They're just little people right?

  • Everyday, how often do you bathe? don't you like to feel fresh and shower everyday? I have bathed my daughter everyday of her life since before she was a week old.
