Will my 11 month old ever walk????

My baby is 11 months old now not walking not crawling. She is very smart!! I swear she doesnt have any delays just seems lazy. She doesnt make any progress and I just keep working with her every thing I can think of to get her to crawl and walk! Who has babies that have walked later??

  • My son is 15 months and just started walking within the last 2 weeks. Now he's almost running. Some kids never crawl -- they go straight to walking! He'll do it when he's ready! Don't worry! =)

  • Babies develop at their own rate, just be patient I'm sure soon enough youre going to be missing the days where she'd be still lol. My DD started "walking" at 9 mos, but didnt really fully walk until 11 mos, I've known babies that walked when they were 8 mos, and other that didnt walk until after their 1st bday, so be patient mommy

  • My daughter didn't start crawling until 10.5 months, then she started cruising immediately. She didn't start walking until about 14 months. Don't worry. She'll walk when she is ready and once they walk . . . forget it!!!

  • Me, my older son didn't walk until he was 14 months old and then he would still prefer to crawl most of the time...about the same with my now 2 year old and the walking...and as for older son never did it..he did this weird commando thing and never got on all fours at all.

  • My son is 16 months and is just now starting to walk. He takes a few steps on his own every once in awhile. If I hold his one hand (like you'd do anywhere outside with a child that age) he walks fine. I'm hoping the new shoes we are getting him, Stride Rite, will help a lot. Kids do what they want when they want. I wouldn't worry until closer to 18 months, if even then.

  • Most babies aren't walking at 11 months.

My son started to crawl at 10 months and walk at 15-16 months, and was considered "normal."
