burping sleeping baby?

when my baby nurses to sleep do i wake her up to burp or let her sleep?

  • My son does the same thing sometimes. I put him over my shoulder and will gently pat his back for a few minutes, but if he doesn't burp, I just put him back to bed.

  • I would gently rub my baby's back while they were asleep and they would burp. Sometimes they'd wake up but often times not.

  • I never burped my son after a couple weeks of trying to burp him with no burps - some bf'd babies don't need burped. If yours regularly does burp, tho, I'd rub his/her back after nursing to try to get a burp out,
