rash from fever should i be worried? help!!

i called the ER they cant give info over the phone, tried calling my pediatrician and he is Indonesian with a strong accent i cant understand a word he is saying....so here is my last resort...she had a temp all day i got it down to 99.9 but her cheeks(face) have this red bumpy rash..she is 2 yrs old, she didnt want to eat supper either and has diarrhea for the past couple days, i been giving pedilyte for that but not sure about this rash..is it normal?

  • What it sounds like is a viral rash. They usually aren't contagious after the fever goes away. I would get her into the doc tomorrow just to make sure.

  • Is it on her back and belly too? If so it could be strep. I would take her to the doc.

  • Last winter this happened to several of our neighbors. It turned out that they had undiagnosed strep throat and all had scarlet fever. Get her tested....
