  • My dad was an insulin dependant type 2 diabetic. He wasn't always, though. At first, he was asked to control it with diet. He didn't. So then he needed pills. He didn't take them often enough, so then he became insulin dependant, and he STILL didn't take care of himself for years. He died of a massive heart attack after having 3 strokes and kidney disease at 52.

    Take care of yourself. Really.

  • My dad. But he's to the point where is is insulin dependant. But he's too stuburn to go to the doctor and get checked out. I keep bugging him to go.
