Any good websites to help children learn to tell time?

My son is in the 2nd grade and the only area he is having trouble is telling time on a non-digital clock. So I'm curious if there are any safe, fun websites where he can learn to tell time and it doesn't feel like a classroom assignment?

  • This site is working for us : http://www.time-for-time.com/lesson1.htm at the bottom of each page is links to click on for work sheets. Also get a old time alarm clock with regular numbers. You can move the hands and practice telling time. Use it to wake up in the morning. I think that some kids have a hard time putting "time" and time on a clock together. So if we get up at 7am then they realize 7am is a time.

  • I would google "teaching time lesson plan" and see what comes up.

  • We had a wooden clock puzzle with moveable hands and he has a watch (not digital). Those helped my son learn to tell time.
