number of Christians in different denominations

Does anyone have a good link that will give the number of members in a Christian denomination world wide and in America?

example 1thousand catholics in the US and 2 thousand in the word

  • You can find some numbers out there on Atlas sites and the Census bureau, but they'll be generally 10 years out of date, based on the 2000 Census. They'll have new numbers next year after they finish the 2010 census. Generally speaking, Catholics have the most world-wide by a huge margin, because they don't split off into so many groups like Protestants do.

  • I've read there are roughly 100 million Baptists worldwide, and 13.5million mormons worldwide, but thats all I know off the top of my head. If you know what denominations you'd like to know about you can google "how many ____'s are there worldwide" and things will come up
