Yard Sale vs. Thrift Store

Which can you make more cash at? 1) Yard Sale (where you do all the work ) or 2) a Thrift store ??

please tell me you opinions

  • I think it depends on what you're selling, how much you're asking for it, and how much you'd be willing to take. At a yard sale you get to keep all the proceeds, but you'll be selling stuff very cheaply (at least you will if you want anyone to buy it). At a thrift store, it sells for a higher price, but you have to split the proceeds with the store and don't usually end up getting much for it. For clothes that you really just want to get rid of, it would probably be about the same at a yard sale or thrift store. For nicer things that you'd really like to make some money on, you'd probably be better off to stick with a yard sale.

  • I think you mean a cosignment store? It depends on what you are trying to sell. Consignment stores are kinda picky.
