Do you and your husband/SO exchange Christmas gifts?

Depending on our money situation at the time, we decide if we are going to exchange or not. This year, not! We are instead going to our favorite restaurant, alone, to enjoy a quiet, romantic, delicious dinner together! !

  • No. We host Christmas together and we put a lot of energy into that. We both feel that if we want something we can do our own shopping. Our family does not exchange gifts with adults at Christmas.

  • We always do. Even if its a picture frame. I would rather have a romantic dinner though...

  • Each year we buy each other something fun for the bedroom (lingerie, massage oil, etc.). Depending on finances we may do more or not. This year we will not be doing extra for ourselves.

  • In the beginnins we would lavish each other with big expensive gifts. This year all he is getting is a Buddhist art calendar & a thermos that he can use for both soup & coffee. That's it. (hope he doesn't get me something really

  • we always say we wont but we do, neither of us can help it. DH bought mine early because I have wanted a new camera for several years, my old one was haiving issues so he got it for me so i could get all the kids events for christmas on it and i told him no more presents! I know he is looking he keeps asking me what i need or want. I also know that my parents sent money and asked him to buy my gifts and put them under the tree but i know there will be one from DH.

Most times the gifts are simple or something we needed. This year was a bit over the top but like my DH had said I have put it off for over 3 years and it was time.

  • Ya know it's all about the kids, blah, blah blah.. but little by little I buy stuff for him too.We all get a stocking(all 7 of us) ya thats allot of stuff! He gets me a couple of nice things, I get him a few mostly things that I know he needs, with a couple things to try. It's fun for everyone, the kids enjoy us opening stuff too.

  • We generally don't. Before we had kids, we got each other a little something, and when we had been married I think 8 or 9 years, he got me an anniversary band. If there's something we want, we just buy it for ourselves. If I was going to pick something out for my husband, I can't even think of a single thing he would want. I can't think of anything I would want as a gift for me, either.

  • We normally do, this year we bought our first home in October and then about three weeks ago took a vacation to Austin plus a larger vacation in Jan. so we were not going to exchange this year, but I know he has bought me something and I am looking for something for him. We always do a little something.

  • It depends on our financial situation during the holidays. This year, we have a little extra to spend on each other so we will. :)
