Can you use cooking wine in a pressure cooker?

This is probably a silly question but I was wondering if anyone knew whether it would be safe to cook with alcohol under pressure. Thanks.

  • You can use wine in a pressure cooker, but I would never use "ccoking" wine for anything. Always use a wine you would drink.

  • Never use cooking wine; it is loaded with sodium and crap. Only cook with drinkable wines (be sure to taste frequently to insure that it has not spoiled)

  • I don't drink wine so some suggestions on what to buy would be great!

Dawn, I am going to make a Turkey Pot Pie and I've got the turkey breast in the pressure cooker right now. Yummo!
