Gift or Not

I'm self employed and clean a house for a family a few days a week,I was wondering should I buy them a gift,or just give them a card with merry greetings!?

  • I would get them something small and thoughtful, like a nice ornament in a gift box.

  • It is customary for the family or nannies, housekeepers, gardeners to give their employees gifts. You do not have to do the same. I would suggest a nice card and something that won't cost you much money like a bag of Lindoor truffles or a plate of cookies.

  • Homemade baked goods are always appropriate. I don't see any reason for you to spend money on your employer. They should be getting you a gift.

  • I agree with the others, some home made goodies would be nice. If you don't have time to bake, a small item like a box of chocolates, a holiday candle, nothing expensive
