Why does my one year old drool so much?

My son is 17 months old and he drools like crazy no matter how many shirts i put on him they always end up so wet that he stays chapped on his chest... What should i do

  • Maybe he's teething.

  • Put absorbent bibs on him. If you can't find any the right size, use hand-towels to make your own.

  • My 15 month-old is like this, too, and has been since day one, teething or not. It's not just teething, it also has to do (at this age especially) with control of the mouth. We just change shirts mid-day.

  • also a little vaseline on the chest when it gets particularly bad.
