Colostrum / and Milk coming in at 23 weeks??

Everyone says it's not big deal but is this really normal? I am only 23 weeks and I started leaking Colostrum about a week ago and now it has turned to a milky color please tell me what you think? Have you ever experienced this?

  • normal. every woman is diferent . i dint leak colustrum till delivery but my friends startedto leak at around 22 wks

  • I know it was a silly question but i delivered my dd at 23 weeks so thats why i had milk then but it worried me i didnt know if it ment i would go into preterm labor again. thanks!

  • Everything that I have read says that you cant produce milk until after birth (it has to do with the hormones released during labor) but I guess there are exceptions to everything:)

    As for the colostrum that early... TOTALLY normal!! I had it earlier than that with my 3rd pregnancy

  • prolactin causes the let down of milk and even men can create milk. nipples were created in the uterus before sex is assigned, so if a man can create enough prolactic from his brain his breasts will comply.
