Walking Question

My son loves to walk but will only walk if he has a hold of someone's finger. He could do it on his own if he'd let go...We have tried to trick him into letting go but he just sets down. Will he just let go one day or do we need to keep working on tricking him into doing it himself?

  • My son cruised furniture before he crawled, and just got up and starting walking at 11 months old. He never did anything half way. My best advice is he will let go when he's ready.

  • He likes the comfort right now, when he's ready he'll just get up and run so be ready for it!

  • He'll do it when ready. And you know what? When he decides he IS ready...you'll decide you AREN'T ready after all!
