Has anyone else out there broken out into hives? If so, how long does this incessant itching last. Was the cause stress or is there another underlying reason for hives.

  • OMG! My son (6 years old) woke up covered in hives this morning! Amd I'm not sure why. He did this one time in the past after eating peanuts, but has since been able to eat them. He had a party at school yesterday so I'm not sure what he ate that gave them hives. Put Benadryl cream on them. I did this to my son and they stopped itching, but are still present. Or Benadryll liquid would make them go away.

  • Stress, allergies, or other things can cause hives. They can go away quickly or last weeks. An oatmeal bath may help.

  • You could take a benadryl, it should help with the inflammation. You may also want to talk to your doctor. Many things can cause hives.

  • Yeah. I broke out because of the medication I was taking---Welbutrin. Not fun.
